Top 5 list of the things I am obsessed with right now

So Jess had a great prompt and I happily took on the challenge! Blog a top 5 list of the places or things you are obsessed with right now...

#1
It shouldn't be surprising that number one on my list is staying on my no buy! Yes I am a crazy woman and put myself on a 6 month no buy challenge so I would be forced to use up some of my stash... well that was 2 months, 8 days and 6 hours ago! It's hard to pass up sales and well new items, Which brings me to Number 2.

#2 CHA Releases there are so many wonderful new items I have my eyes on (see post below) and I can't stop thinking about them!

#3 Getting my Scrapbooks up to date! Yes I know it's nearly impossible to catch up once you fall behind but I really would like to at least catch up to the last 6 months or so.

#4 Organizing and downsizing my scrap stash.. umm yeah I am not even going to talk about this because I will fill up a full page! Totally Obsessed with organizing!! (have you seen my scrap space?) this is just a small sample... so I don't look crazy! but I have tons of labels, cubes and shelves.

So the number five thing on my obsessed list doesn't have anything to do with Scrap booking... shocking I know!

#5 Decorating the bookshelf in our living room! It is driving me insane and every time I think I got it, I don't! I have never spent so much time decorating one area..Not even a scrap page!  I think about it all the time. I just got finished trying a new set up so hopefully it sticks.. Hopefully! I am losing my mind and soon it will end up just empty!!

Feel free to leave me a comment sharing something you are obsessed with... Or bookshelf advice! :)

Butterfly garden by Pink Paislee, they may have won me over with this line, it is so beautiful and the perfect touch of vintage!! http://pinkpaislee.com/

From Prima, I am so in love with the blue Audrey Rose also the The Classic Lace Collection. When I think of Prima I think of beautiful flowers, it's no wonder they are on the list for the second CHA in a row.

Memory works Elementary collection, I just love these colors not too bright and the cutest embellies! Now if you are thinking this looks like the BO bunny paper i adore (and picked last CHA) it does, but the distressed look this has really makes it even better for me. Plus I have used up 2 packs of the BO bunny and I am so glad to have something with the same muted colors but a fun new design and this is it!!

Of Course if you know my you know I love Glitz Design and they did it again they have three amazing new lines but Love games is my fave. this is something you can only get from Glitz love the stickers too. You can see the rest at http://glitzitnow.blogspot.com/

Look at this beautiful collection- Timepiece

Now My heart stopped when I saw Blast off!! Boy pages are my #1 thing and this is beyond cute! I should seriously just post the BoBunny link and say all of the above!

My Mind's Eye- stella & rose
I love the look of MME papers but these colors are what really put it over the edge for me! Awesome!!  Look at all the "extras" too!

Animal crackers by Imaginisce
A super cute collection and I love journaling tickets especially in these colors!

ZUTTER Distrezz-it-all REVIEW *Pictures added!*

So I just got my new Distrezz-it-all and plan on giving a full HONEST review. I am addicted to distressing and use any method possible to get the looks I want. Let's see if this little Machine helps me. If I love it I am going to yell it from the rough tops, It will save me lots of time if it really works!

OK as promised here is my review.

Today I played with it a lot, I went straight across with the distresser and there was a very slight distressed look. Then I held the paper at an angle and noticed a difference, It was better but still not the look I wanted. So I played some more going back and forth, the result was a deeper distressed look. It was equal to my hand distresser without the work. Since I love the really distressed look I had to play around some more, while having the machine pulse while I ran it back and forth quickly. The result, I was in love. Also It wasn't as loud pulsing,It was so fast and just the look I wanted. It took me a while to figure out how to use it (to my liking) But when I did the results were fast and pleasing. Of course this review wouldn't be complete without pictures, I will add those in the morning along with the Pages I finished a lot faster thanks to my distrezz-it-all.

All in all this tool is perfect for someone who distresses every LO you really will save time and save yourself from paper cuts.
Just be sure you try a bunch of tricks and angles to get your paper distressed the way you want.

A Few things I learned:

  • Thicker paper makes a louder sound
  • It still makes a mess but the bottom compartment catches a lot of it.
  • Short back and forth movements give a more distressed look
  • Push down on the paper for a more distressed look
  • Don't use this while your kids are sleep!

I hope this review has helped you there is a lot of generic "it's great" reviews but there are things you should know before you use it so you won't get that frustrated feeling I did the first time I used it. Only you can decide if it is worth the money, but I want to let you know how I came to love mines.

First sheet going with the distrezz it all Now against it
Second sheet Back and forth with pressure, really Distressed look!

The mess on the table after One Layout
All the mess that was caught after one LOLook At all the mess it saved, so even though my table was a mess it could have been a lot worse! One of the Layouts Made with the Distrezz-it-all
